The Champaign County Flatlanders Rugby Football Club was established in Spring 2008 as a
Men's Division III club of the Illinois Rugby Union. We're non-collegiate but with RSO (registered
student organization) status, which allows us to use university resources. That means if you're
not part of the university it doesn't concern us. We're always interested in new players whether
you're new to rugby or use to play as an undergrad/in the service/overseas. Rookies or seasoned—
young or old—we just wanna play some rugby. We practice twice a week (for updated schedule please see the practice page) with games almost
every saturday and tournaments once or twice a season. It's a great chance to meet new people,
travel around the area a bit, and bring families/friends out for an afternoon of tough-nosed rugby
and kick-assery.
For information on how to join, please email us through our
contact page.
