Tag... you're it.

Hey guys, I’m in the process of moving all your pics to facebook so your site doesn’t crash on me anymore. Please, when you’re casually scrolling through them and reminiscing over the good ole days (from like two weeks ago)—tag your pictures and/or people you know. It will help raise awareness of the Flatlanders and rugby in general in facebooklandiapolis. I will tag when I can, but that’s a lot o’ pics for one person. So, you know, help a lady out.

Thanks!

Stick a fork in it!

Congrats to all of you — new ruggers claimed their space and made it worthy. Old guys — as always, the glue to this team. Let’s take what we learned this season and put it to work in the Spring. Til then, I assume there will be Winter Formal details to come (?) and when Spring practices will start up again.

I’d also like to take a moment to remind you about our buddy, Adam, who could use letters of support. If you don’t know the address, please contact Snu, Brent, or me (Anni).

Win!

Winning... that ain’t so bad. The few pics I snapped in the last 15 minutes are up for your viewing pleasure. Great game, let’s get keep it going!

New Season

Let the new season begin boy-o’s! Lots of new faces out on the pitch with good fire. Looking forward to seeing this team come together and make things happen.

So what’s new on the tournament front? Lots.

tourney page, thank you Paypal

• see that schmancy Facebook button to the left, click it, navigate to the 7s event, and proceed to invite every person you know on facebook. every. single. one. of them.

As we finalize plans, we’ll keep you posted. See you on the pitch!

  • New to rugby? Come to a practice, we’ll teach you a few things and throw you right into a game. We need players, we’re not too proud to beg.
  • Rumor has it a couple fellas in town want to start a high school rugby team. We think this is great and support all your efforts before you even start planning. If you’re interested in high school rugby, feel free to contact us and we’ll pass you along to the powers that be.
  • If you haven’t already, friend us on Facebook and then share it with everyone you know
  • It’s summer! Drink a beer, eat some brats, play some 7s, wang chung tonight.

Just One Rugger

No matter how well 14 guys are playing—new, experienced, injured, tired, giving their all—the team is weak when it’s down one man. One man could have filled the 15th position. One man could have rotated out with one of our (at least) three injured guys who kept playing. One man could have been there to support a play that would have gotten the extra try needed to win.

One. Man.

Go to practice. Go to games. Play rugby. Drink beer.
It really doesn’t get better than that, so make time to follow through on your commitment. Fourteen other guys are depending on you.

Practice Update

Practice will be starting a week earlier than mentioned... Tuesday, March 8th. Be there!

Spring Schedule

The schedule is up for Spring 2011 and practices start March 15th. If you’ve never played, use to play, think you can play, played for us last season... please join us, you are needed.
