The Champaign County Flatlanders Rugby Football Club was established in Spring 2008 as a Men's Division III club of the Illinois Rugby Union. We're non-collegiate but with RSO (registered student organization) status, which allows us to use university resources (but doesn’t mean you have to be a UIUC student). We're always interested in new players whether you're new to rugby or use to play as an undergrad/in the service/overseas. Rookies or seasoned—young or old—we just wanna play some rugby.
We practice twice a week (for updated schedule please see the practice page) with games almost every saturday and tournaments once or twice a season. It's a great chance to meet new people, travel around the area a bit, and bring families/friends out for an afternoon of tough-nosed rugby and kick-assery.
For information on how to join, please email us through our contact page.
Champaign County Rugby Football Club is a 501C-3 not-for-profit organization. All donations to the Flatlanders is tax deductible under section 170 of the code.
